Following the publication and successful launch of the first volume of Tales of the Battlefield, the Battlefield Writers’ Collective is delighted to announce the launch of the second volume of an exciting new collection of short stories and poems from Twenty-eight local authors and poets.

This is a free interactive event supported by the Scottish Book Trust, open to all members of the public and will include:

•            A short introduction to the work of the Battlefield Writers’ Collective

•            Brief readings from a cross-section of short stories and poems from the new anthology read by the writers/poets

•            An interactive Q & A with the audience

•            How you could participate in future collections from the Collective.

•            An opportunity for audience members to meet the authors and poets over refreshments.

Designed by Glasgow School of Art Students in the 1920’s, the twenty-one foot by seven foot mural for Langside Library was entitled ‘Queen Mary at the Battle of Langside’ and was official handed over to the Corporation of the City of Glasgow on the 6th January 1920.
